Young Migrants Alone
This training programme encourages young immigrants to be integrated in the working world, in coordination with welcome centres and relevant social services.
The activity takes place in a real working environment, accompanied by teachers, supervised by the professional team and with a basic technical syllabus. Young people need to show their ability to work and must be ready to face a very demanding educational programme.
Coming into contact with a real working environment encourages literacy, as young people recognise their communicative limitations and the importance of improving their language skills to gain access to the labour market.
The ultimate goal is for young people to be integrated in society and the workplace. Young people who are motivated and have a positive attitude are identified, so they can begin the process of getting paperwork and a job by being hired by the company.
Young Migrants Alone
The programme, which is carried out in coordination with welcome centres and social services, is carried out at two centres Sant Benet vegetable gardens and the packaging plant at Sant Vicenç dels Horts, which are both part of the MANS Cooperative.
Classroom literacy initiatives and basic technical training for the workplace are offered. The aim is to identify young people who have the right motivation and skills, and to encourage their integration in the workplace with an employment contract at the company.
