Youth and Science

It aims to foster scientific-technological vocations among fifty students in their 4th year of compulsory secondary school (ESO) with talent and a drive to research. For three years, they have the opportunity to experience research firsthand, both locally and internationally. 

Mad for science

The programme encourages science and tech vocations linked to the world of research, aimed at secondary school students through theory and practical sessions given by researchers from leading research centres across Catalonia.

Nature Campus

Programme targeted at baccalaureate students with a particular interest in the field of biodiversity and nature conservation with the goal of encouraging youths’ scientific vocations in this field of research. 
 

La Pedrera Science Fellows

If you have participated in a Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation science program, you are a La Pedrera Science Fellow!

BIYSC

This international program is looking for young students from around the world who are passionate for science with the aim of stimulating their scientific talent and promoting their vocation for scientific research. During two weeks in July, 132 students from 16 to 18 years old will have the opportunity to work in Barcelona on the science and technology challenges proposed by international research centers located in Catalonia.

Talents Programme

Research assistance for young medical specialists and other healthcare professionals who want to undertake a research project while remaining associated with the care provided at the hospital.

Exporecerca Jove Award

This award is given at the Exporecerca Jove event and it consists in participation in Intel ISEF, the largest and most prestigious research fair for pre-university students in the world. 

Vanguardia Science Award

This award, inspired by the example of the magazine Science, which names a ‘Breakthrough of the Year’ every December, honours and awards the most important scientific breakthrough of the year in Spain. 

Alinyà Mountain university campus

The Environmental and Earth Sciences Campus at the Alinyà Nature Space provides the university community with an ideal setting for promoting research and conducting field practices, end-of-degree projects and post-graduate studies related to the environment in both the humanistic and scientific sense.

Support for the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST)

We provide young researchers with research opportunities and promote classroom science by training scientists as teachers.

Tàndem Schools

The Tàndem Schools programme promotes collaboration between an educational centre and an institution in order to target the centre as part of an innovation process.

Educational activities

The Foundation presents schools with all its educational services with the use of cutting-edge, imaginative technological resources.

These activities, which are the most advanced educational experiences in our country, are offered at five major facilities: La Pedrera, Món Sant Benet, MónNatura Delta de l'Ebre, MónNatura Pirineus and Alinyà Mountain.

Educational Mentoring Programme (PAE)

We contribute to the educational equity of children and adolescents by offering them the chance to access extracurricular support that enables them to achieve academic and personal success.

Residencies for musicians

A programme of excellence that offers a platform for young musical talents in our country so that they can show all their versatility, either alone or in collaboration with other musicians, and at the same time contribute to the projection of their career.

PedreraArtLab

Laboratory of new artistic experiences which focuses on interdisciplinary relations as a driver of creativity and presents the resulting works at La Pedrera in a series of unique, distinct concerts.

La Pedrera Jazz

La Pedrera becomes the epicentre of jazz on Barcelona’s summer nights. The rooftop is transformed into an exceptional setting where you can enjoy the night, great views and the best jazz.

New stages

Unique proposals in the performing arts meant as a diverse, pluralistic space which encompasses movement, video, the spoken word, objects and music.

La Pedrera opens up to renowned choreographers and young creators so they can showcase their most recent proposals.
