Nature
We preserve our natural heritage
Biodiversity
We care for the species that are the most threatened. Our biodiversity conservation projects include dissemination, monitoring and land management projects; population tracking and studies; and support for a variety of reintroduction initiatives.
Know moreForest management
Forests produce many direct benefits (wood, fruit, firewood, game). And they are also very profitable indirectly since they act to modulate the water cycle. Thus, they prevent erosion, contribute to keeping the air composition stable and serve as a refuge for biodiversity.
Know moreOpen spaces
Leaving pastures, mown fields and crops fallow because it is not profitable to farm them is an invaluable loss to our cultural and environmental heritage.
Know moreWetland restoration
Wetlands like deltas, ponds, lagoons and marshes are ecosystems that harbour a vast diversity of animal and plant life, yet they are also the most threatened ecosystems in the world.
Know moreBiological corridors
Biological corridors are essential to connect protected areas or areas with major biodiversity which are far away from each other or separated by man-made barriers.
Know moreEuropean projects
European projects (LIFE and POCTEFA) are some of the main components of the European Union's environmental policy, as their goal is to contribute to the implementation, development and improvement of European environmental policies.

Protegim espais de gran valor
Xarxa d'Espais Natura

Environmental education
Through activities and stays, we want to offer impactful, positive experiences which make participants rethink our bond with nature and how we can personally act to improve the current state of the environment and its natural elements.
Know moreEcotourism and health
Direct contact with nature gives us health and well-being, both physically, psychologically and emotionally. However, it is said that we suffer from a "nature deficit syndrome" due to the progressive move away from the natural environment, with our society having become more and more urban.
Land stewardship
Land stewardship is an outstanding tool to help manage and conserve public or private spaces.
Know moreFood and the local area
Food production shapes the local area, diversifies the landscape, and when carried out in a sustainable and extensive way, it encourages biodiversity.
Know moreClimate change
Different projects evaluate and provide rigorous information on the vulnerability of ecosystems and on our region by reporting on the effects of climate change.
Know moreParticipation in networks
The Foundation participates in networks with other organisations to support new initiatives, roll out new ideas, learn new practices and disseminate the messages and the knowledge acquired.
Know moreNature Campus
Programme targeted at baccalaureate students with a particular interest in the field of biodiversity and nature conservation with the goal of encouraging youths’ scientific vocations in this field of research.

Entitats col·laboradores
The University of Cambridge's mission is to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence. The University is a confederation of Departments, Schools, Faculties and Colleges.
The Josefina Castellví Secondary School, based in Viladecans, is a public institution offering ESO and baccalaureate education, with 450 students and 45 teachers.
The Rockefeller University Summer Science Research Program (SSRP) provides high school students with a unique and personalized opportunity to conduct hands-on research under the mentorship of leading scientists at one of the world's premier biomedical research facilities. During this rigorous 7-week programme, SSRP students become immersed in scientific culture while gaining an appreciation for the process of biomedical discovery. Through a combination of laboratory experimentation, interactive lectures, and dynamic coursework, students will learn fundamental research techniques, become better acquainted with scientific peer-reviewed literature, and improve critical thinking. Equally important, students will have a lot of fun - we strive to make the SSRP an inclusive and supportive environment where every student’s voice is heard and respected. Please see the Description of Coursework (link is external) to read about the classes that supplement the in-lab experience. See Examples of Laboratory Projects (link is external) to read about some of the past projects undertaken by SSRP students.
The mission of the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE) is to contribute to the general advancement in cosmic studies, helping to improve the scientific and technological capacity of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), as well as strengthen the presence of this institution in space initiatives, promoting excellence in all activities related to scientific research and its dissemination, as well as articulating the contribution to the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC).
