New emotional education guide to help children and adolescents achieve educational success

The Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation has published a practical Emotional education guide. It is a tool that outlines and provides guidelines on the intervention style of the educational team in the Foundation’s Educational Support Programme(PAE) with the goal of improving the educational success of children and adolescents by reinforcing and complementing the educational role of the family and the school
This guide, written by the anthropologist Pax Dettoni Serrano, outlines the emotional competences which the Programme seeks to promote, provides guidelines and practical tips targeted at educators and can also be used by parents and guardians.
The PAE believes strongly that the challenge of mentoring children and adolescents as they acquire emotional skills must essentially be grounded upon the model that the educator follows for them. For this reason, the guide is presented as a resource for educational intervention that is useful and applicable in any other educational context that works with children and adolescents.
